This is the 2.00 release of AXIS ThinWizard. The major new features are listed below. 2. Configuration Wizard Change one or more parameters of several Axis servers simultaneously, or copy the configuration from one server to one or several servers. 3. Manage non-Axis print servers ThinWizard will find print servers from Hewlett-Packard, Intel and Lexmark and provide a link to their internal home pages for management. 4. IP Address Assignment ThinWizard will locate non-configured print servers and let you assign an IP address to the server. (Requires firmware version 6.20 and above) 5. Printer-friendly view You can now list the servers in the network in a printer-friendly view. Appendix B - SOFTWARE LIMITATIONS 1(1) Product involved: AXIS ThinWizard Software version: 2.00 -------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. When running the ThinWizard server on Windows 95/98/Me or Unix platforms, AXIS PrintPoint 140 BJC, AXIS 9010 and all AXIS camera servers are not supported. 2. Multi-configuration is not supported for the following types of Axis servers: AXIS 570/570e/670/670e/5470e AXIS StorPoint CD with firmware older than 5.0 AXIS Camera servers AXIS 9010 3. When you start ThinWizard's Firmware Wizard, some versions of Internet Explorer may give this behavior: You may be prompted for a new login, or you may get information about that your browser doesn't accept cookies. If this is the case, open Internet Options in the Tools menu and select the Advanced tab. Make sure that "Browse in new process" is not checked. 4. To ensure proper functionality, your browser should be configured to never read web pages from the browser's cache (Netscape) or never to store temporary internet files (Internet Explorer). 5. This version of ThinWizard is not compatible with old versions of the Data File used by ThinWizard to get up-to-date information about available firmware files. 6. When running ThinWizard on Windows 95 you may get an error message saying that the IP Setting module could not be started. The reason could be that system DLLs regarding Windows Socket 2 has to be updated. The Windows Socket 2 Update for Microsoft Windows 95 can be downloaded from the Microsoft Web site. If you are using the Microsoft NetWare Client and Windows 98, you may experience a system crash when browsing for a destination folder during installation. This problem is due to a bug in Windows. If you are using JavaSoft's HotSpot Performance Engine 1.0_fcs or earlier, you may experience problems with the network search part of ThinWizard. ThinWizard might not be able to find all your units. To disable HotSpot, edit the command file ThinWizard.bat, located in your ThinWizard installation directory. Add -classic after the java command.
